On September 4, 53 teachers started teaching students in grades 5-11 under the “Stay with Ukraine” program.
This time, we broke last year’s records. A total of 1700 Ukrainian children living abroad have joined the new school year. This is 80 groups instead of the 70 we planned to recruit this year.
Children from more than 20 countries continue to study Ukrainian language, literature, and history of Ukraine online for free to keep in touch with Ukraine and our education system.
The largest number of students came from Poland, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
We take into account time zones and the possibility of combining the schools where children study abroad.
Therefore, 40 groups study on weekday evenings — and the other half study on weekends.
Test tasks and mandatory teacher feedback are provided during the school year to consolidate knowledge. Upon completion of training, we provide certificates.
Currently, there are still applications in reserve. We are doing our best to allow everyone to study with the “Stay with Ukraine” project.
Read about the last year’s experience of the project, feedback from parents and students, as well as a comparison of education abroad and in Ukraine — in the article from the “Smart Osvita” NGO on the “Dzerkalo Tyzhnia” portal: http://surl.li/kzvja (in Ukrainian).
We are grateful to the “Dzerkalo Tyzhnia” team for their information support.
The project is implemented by the “Smart Osvita” NGO supported by Theirworld.
