We are currently looking for English teachers willing to donate one hour weekly to deliver online English lessons for students in Ukrainian schools near the frontline or in the countryside for 2-3 months. The demand for English practice and assistance in these areas is significant.
The primary objectives are to support Ukrainian kids and create a secure environment for them to practice their English skills.
The sessions are held on Zoom with Ukrainian-speaking moderators, and each session lasts from 45 to 60 minutes.
Since the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, “Smart Osvita” NGO has been organizing complimentary online English lessons and interactive sessions with volunteer teachers and presenters from various fields for Ukrainian children aged 2-18.
These sessions are conducted in a supportive atmosphere by foreign teachers, librarians, scientists, and other professionals.
As of August 2023, we have successfully conducted over 1100 lessons, with approximately 42,000 children participating. Over a year and a half, more than 140 volunteers worldwide have joined us!
How to Become a Smart Osvita Volunteer Teacher?
We invite you to become a volunteer teacher if you:
- have at least one year of experience in teaching English or other subjects to children;
- possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or teaching;
- and/or hold a certification in teaching English, such as TEFL, CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, or a similar qualification.
