Eight schools in frontline regions of Ukraine now have an alternative power source—modern battery storage systems installed with donor support under the PowerSchool, implemented by NGO “Smart Osvita”.
These stationary battery units with inverters enable schools to continue teaching even during power outages—an especially relevant solution in the context of full-scale war.
Why it matters:
✅ A humanitarian solution that helps preserve access to education
✅ A safe, eco-friendly alternative to fuel generators
✅ Ensures continuity of the learning process for children
✅ A strategic investment: the systems can be expanded with solar panels if needed
Battery systems have already been installed in the following schools:
• Konotop Primary School “Lider,” Konotop, Sumy region
• B.D. Antonenko-Davydovych Lyceum, Okhtyrka, Sumy region
• Lypova Dolyna Lyceum, Lypova Dolyna Community Council, Sumy region
• Kushuhum Gymnasium “Intellect,” Kushuhum Community Council, Zaporizhzhia district, Zaporizhzhia region
